We were told it was a sales agreement not a 5 year contract. Regardless of if the contact is transferable or not the fact that noone informed us of what we were signing is what we have a problem with. Shame on you Acadian Home Security!The system is 22 years old there was nothing to install but the cellular device that we paid for. After being a loyal customer for 9 years I feel like this is a slap in the face that now we will have to pay almost 900 if the new owners dont take over the contract. In no way shape or form would we have locked into a 5 year agreement if we would have been told about it. That would be fine and dandy if this contract would not have been disgusied and a sales agreement for a new device that they hooked up to our security system and we would have been told we were committing to a 5 year contract. This is an incredible opportunity to work. Buyers BEWARE! I have been with safeguard/acadian home security for 9 year and have had no problems with them until we sold our home now they are telling me we signed a contract that locked us into 5 years with them and if the new homeowners dont take it over we have to pay out the remaining 2 years of the contract.
